A MoU was signed between SAU and the University of Nottingham (December 14, 2018)

On December 13, a delegation of the University of Nottingham led by Professor Nicholas Miles, Vice-Chancellor of Global Engagement and John Quirk, Director of the Office of Global Engagement visited our university, and signed a memorandum of cooperation. Wu De, vice president, and related personnel from International Office of Exchange and Cooperation, College of Agronomy, College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Economics, College of Food Science, and two "111 Bases" attended the meeting. Zhang Xiaoping, director of the International Office of Exchange and Cooperation presided over the meeting.

In September this year, Nicholas Miles led a 13-member delegation and came for talks on exploring innovative scientific cooperation and talent exchanges between the two universities in related fields. The signing of the memorandum is based on the initial intention of cooperation reached at the meeting.

Wu De extended a warm welcome to the delegation of the University of Nottingham, expressing that we attach great importance to the cooperation between the two universities. He hopes that through the further implementation of the agreement, the two universities will promote more in-depth cooperation in scientific research, educational exchanges, and other aspects, and put forward suggestions for teacher-student exchanges and scientific research cooperation.

Nicholas Miles said that the second visit within three months is the result of efficient work by both sides, and he is looking forward to carrying out various forms of academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation with SAU under the framework of the memorandum. It is suggested that an inter-school seminar should be held once a year to evaluate the implementation of the cooperation project between the two schools.
