Funded by the national international cooperation and exchange program, Professor Malcolm Hawkesford and Dr. Wan Yongfang from Rothamsted Research(UK) took a five-day academic visit in our university. During their stay, president Zheng youliang and Professor Zhou Yonghong, dean of the graduate school conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on further research cooperation and joint talents cultivation with two experts.

On October 12, two experts brought excellent academic reports on the quality of wheat breeding and wheat processing. Professor Malcolm gave an report entitled “Challenges and solutions for designing future wheat”, and Dr. Wan Yongfang gave an report entitled “Improving wheat grain yield and quality by manipulation of sink-located amino acid transporters”.
