The Eighth
International Food Prediction Model Convention was held in Institut Pasteur in
France this year. Associate professor Zhou Kang in SICAU Food Faculty was
invited to the meeting and gave a lecture “Single-cell-based conditional growth
model to describe the effect of medium on the survival and growth of Salmonella
under osmotic stress”. The meeting is held every two years, which not only goes
deep into the theoretical study in this field, but also provides risk
assessment guidance for Department of Agriculture, Food and Drug Administration
and other government departments, as well as for multinational corporations for
food. Zhou is the first Chinese scholar giving a lecture on this convention, which
has a beneficial international influence for our country to make a further development
in this field.
