On October 18-20, the 9th CAER-IFPRI Annual Conference, co-sponsored by China Agricultural Economics Review (CAER) editorial office, College of Economics and Management of China Agricultural University as well as International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), was held in China Agricultural University. This year, the theme of the conference is: “Agricultural Competitiveness in China: Assessment, Challenge and Options”.

Abrham Tezera Gessesse, a doctoral student from Ethiopia who is in the College of Management(SICAU) was invited to speak at the parallel forum of the conference -Agricultural Technology Innovation and Production Efficiency under the title of “Studying the Technical Efficiency and Determinants of Ya’an Smallholder Tea Production: A Frontier and Structural Equation Modeling Combined Analysis”. His paper was highly rated by the review person, Kevin Chen, director of the China program of IFPRI, and was well received by the participants.
