Management Regulations for International Students

(1) In order to strengthen the management work of students, the following regulations have been made in accordance with the spirit of the relevant documents, such as Regulations on Admission of International Students in Higher Education Institutions, Regulations on the Management of Students in General in Higher Education Institutions and Code of Conduct for Students in Higher Education Institutions. The regulations are also formulated in the light of the actual conditions of the students in the university.

(2) Students must abide by the laws and regulations of China and respect the social morality and customs of China. Students who commit a criminal offence will be expelled from the school. Whoever is punished by the relevant department for violating other laws and regulations shall be given a demerit or above according to the nature, circumstances and consequences.

(3) Students must abide by the rules and regulations of the school. Those who violate the rules and regulations shall be punished in accordance with the relevant regulations. Once the students receive the punishment of warning or above, their following one year’s scholarship from the date of receiving the punishment will be cancelled.

(4) Students must abide by the Administration of Religious Activities of Foreigners within the Territory of the People's Republic of China. Missionary activities and religious gatherings are strictly prohibited on campus. The violator shall be given a punishment of warning or above according to the nature, circumstances and consequences.

(5) It is not allowed to post or distribute publicity materials or printed materials on campus without permission. The violator shall be given a punishment of warning or above according to the nature, circumstances and consequences.

(6) Gambling, alcohol abuse, fighting, drug abuse, drug trafficking and other acts that interfere with teaching, scientific research and the normal living order in school are strictly prohibited. The violator shall be given a punishment of warning or above according to the nature, circumstances and consequences.

(7) Students are not allowed to obtain employment, engage in business or other profit-making activities during the period of their schooling. They are not allowed to participate in part-time work-study activities (neither on nor off campus), profit-making performances, radio, film and television programs and foreign-related social investigation activities without the approval of ISO. Violators will be transferred to the PSB for punishment.

(8) Students who drive motor vehicles to school should apply for motor vehicle permits at the University Security Department.

(9) Students should try to live in the international students dormitory or the dormitory for foreigners, and strictly abide by the regulations for the management of the dormitory. Violators shall be punished in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Management Regulations of Accommodation in International Students Dormitory.

(10) The school shall commend and reward students who are excellent in both conduct and study and have shown outstanding performance.

(11) Students must leave China within a specified period of time after graduation, completion of their studies or withdrawal from their studies. The list of international students expelled from the university shall be submitted to the PSB, which will cancel their visas in China or shorten their stay in China in accordance with the law.
