A Delegation of New England University Pays a Friendly Visit to SAU
May 22 & 23, 2007, a delegation led by Prof. Sajeev, Rector the Maths & Computer College, and Ms Judy McDonald, Dean of the College of Economics Business & the Law, New England University Australia, paid a two-day visit to SAU for the purpose of making a cooperative teaching program of the two universities. Warmly welcomed in the hall of the No.1 administrative building, guests were presented souvenirs by President Wen, SAU. Rector Chen Wenkuan and Deputy Rector Jiang Yuansheng (College of Economic Management SAU) and Prof. Chang Xiaoping, Dean of the International Office of Exchange and Cooperation SAU were present at the ceremony. On the second day the delegation were escorted to visit the university’s History Museum and labs. A practicable two-party talk was held in the College of Economic Management SAU and some good intentional agreements of cooperative teaching program were reached.

Sino-German Scientific Cooperation against Bird’s Flu in SAU
A delegation of four from Nordrhein Westfalen Germany, led by Dr. Wilstacke , Chief of the Agricultural Gardening Land-resources Section of the Provincial Agricultural & Environmental Dept. and Dr.Friedhelm Jaeger, Chief of the Animal Health Protection & Diseases Prevention Section of the Provincial Agricultural & Environmental Dept., came to visit SAU on May 9, 2007. A discussion was held to look into the possibility of cooperation in researches of the Bird’s Flu and some other agricultural programs. After being showed around the Medical Plant Garden, the Soil Experimental Lab and the Preventive Veterinary Lab, Dr Wilstacke showed his satisfaction and said that this investigation of the two-party cooperation is practicable only if it is evaluated and authorized by the EU and he would try his best to have the job done. After Dr Friedhelm Jaeger’s academic report, there was a discussion. Hot topics were Aquatic-bird’s Flu inspection, soil decontamination and medical herb cultivation. Later, the four guests were escorted to the History Museum of SAU.

Congolese Specialists Visits SAU
April 23, 2007, Mr.Lesperanle Itolla-Nkrllmah, Congolese agricultural specialist, and his partners including the Deputy Manager of Jianhe International Co. Ltd. Hongkong and the Deputy Manager of Western Pacific Information Co. Ltd. Came to pay a visit to SAU. After being showed around the feed-processing plant, pig farm, chicken farm and fishponds, some cooperative affairs were well discussed.

A Friendly Visit of Vietnamese Guests (April 12–14, 2007)

Mr. Pham Quang Duong, Mr. Nguyen Huu Lam, Mr. Nguyen Van Lam and Mr. Do Thanh Tung, four top leaders of Vietnamese South Seed Co. Ltd. came to pay a friendly visit to SAU. They were escorted to the History Museum of the university.

A Thailand Academic Report Given in SAU April 9, 2007
An academic report, “Fishery Environmental Protection”------“How to Adopt an Integrated Approach to Minimize the Bad Effect of Fishery on the Environment”, was given by Prof. Yang Yi, Chairman of Asian Oceanic Association & Doctorial Advisor of Bangkok Asian Graduate School of Science & Engineering, in the College of Animal Science & Technology SAU.

Taiwan Scholars Comes to SAU April 5, 2007
Dr Jian Jixian, Associated Professor of the Bio-cytology & Anatomy Institute of the Medical College of National Chenggong University Taiwan and Chief of Zhongmei Veterinary Station, and Mr Wu Wenchang, Director of Humanity Domestic Animal Clinic & Chinese Traditional Vet Association and Standing Supervisor of the Pet Animal Clinic Association of Taiwan, paid an academic visit to the College of Animal Science & Technology SAU. First they gave an overview report about pet clinics of Taiwan and the idea of the management of their Zhongmei Veterinary Station. Then another report was on treatment of pet diseases in Taiwan --- surgical and internal diseases of pet animals. Graduates, undergraduates and teachers of the Clinic Veterinary Dept. made a full house.

The Title “Advanced Unit” Awarded to the International Office of Exchange and Cooperation SAU by the Personnel Bureau of Sichuan Province
March 2007, the International Office of Exchange and Cooperation SAU was awarded the title of “Advanced Unit” by the Personnel Bureau of Sichuan Province for their endeavor in their work of introducing competent persons from abroad while Ms Chen Qiong of the office was awarded the title of “Advanced Worker”.

March 2007, the International Office of Exchange and Cooperation SAU was awarded the title of “Advanced Unit of 2006” by the Educational Bureau of Sichuan Province for their excellent work of university’s foreign affairs assigned by the Personnel Bureau of Sichuan Province.

Sino-Canada Academic Exchange in SAU

July 11-13, .2007, Dr. Joshua, Food Institute of the Agricultural Dept. Canada, made an academic exchange in the College of Animal Science & Technology SAU.

Sino-Britain Academic Exchange in SAU

July 5-6, .2007, Prof. Jing-jiang Zhou, Judge of China Natural Science Fund & Rothamsted Research Biological Division BBSRC Harpenden U.K., made an academic exchange in SAU.

Sino-Belgium Academic Exchange in SAU

June10-14, .2007, invited by the Future Agriculture & Human Health Research Center of SAU, Dr. Douwina Bousscher, the nutritional scientist of Orafti Company Belgium made an academic exchange in SAU.
